Hasp 4 driver causes Blue screen of Death.
Installing or removing hasp4 driver causes computer to crash and reboot.  This may happen on installation using TMQ installation program.
Not sure of the cause, but it is due to the driver.
Ensure you have the latest driver from hasp.
  1.  Restart the computer in Safe mode.
  2.  Start a command prompt and go to where the hinstall program is. or Type, start, run, cmd. and then type in "cd C:cplot95exeinstall"
  3.  hinstall -kp should remove the process, (there should be no process under safe mode anyway)
  4.  hinstall -r should remove the driver.
  5.  hinstall -i should install the new driver.   Error will appear saying it couldn't start the driver (Safe mode)
  6. Restart the computer in Normal mode.
  7. C-plot should then detect the HASP Dongle.

My Aladdin / Hasp 4 driver is not compatible with my Windows Version.
So, you have gotten a new computer and you are trying to load an older version of C-plot. But the installation is having an issue when it gets to the Aladdin HASP install. please note, this issue is not as critical as the solution just above. What do I do you ask? Well, you will have to download the latest driver from the Aladdin website and install it manually. If you feel you cannot do this install, then feel free to purchase the TMQ C-plot update from TMQ or your dealer.
  • Download the latest Driver from the HASP Website www.hasp.com
  • Select Support/Download
  • Select for HASP
  • Select End-user Downloads for HASP4 or click this link
  • Select the HASP Device Drive GUI Installation or the Command Line install if your DOS skill are good enough
  • Install the drivers and then restart the C-plot installation.
Dongle not being Detected, HASP.
a) Driver Issue, if windows XP service pack 2 and old version c-plot. Download command line driver from www.hasp.com then, hinstall -r, to remove, hinstall -i, to install new driver.
The Wrong Dongle number appears on the Cplot Screen
Please ensure that you only have 1 hasp dongle plugged in. This help screen is due to customer having 1 USB hasp dongle and 1 parallel port dongle plugged into the system.
I think my Ikey is not working
So, you run C-plot, and you have it in your mind that the Ikey is not working on Max Pro. So, a checklist to work out a more educated Guess.
  • 1. check the Ikey is plugged in.
  • 2. On Running C-plot, do you have the little squares where GPS Data should be on the right hand Side Yes: The Ikey is working. Bring up Menu, System, System Info.
  •
  • 3. Has the C-plot come up and said Ikey was lost.
  • 4. Does Chart manager recognise the Ikey? Start menu, All Programs, JeppensenMarine, Maxpro SDK, Chart Manager
  • 5. Ok, Down near the Clock on the Taskbar. Yes, the bit which says the time, There should a little Blue 'I' with a Tick Next to it. Click on this. Does it come up with Ikey information? You don't see the little Blue I, then click the Arrow Thingy to expand the list.
  • 6. Please check under control panel, Add Remove Programs. Do you see 2 entries for Safenet Ikey Driver and Safenet Ikey Components
  • 7. Maybe you do not have an Ikey. Please ensure you are using C-plot Max Pro System
  • 8. Is your system loosing the ikey occasionally? Download the latest Maxpro DLL.
  • 9. USB Power may not be powering your I-key
  •
  • 10. Your Ikey may have been corrupted. Select format Ikey from the Chart Manager under the Chart install window
  • 11. Check there is a Light on your Ikey
My HASP USB dongle is dropping in and out on the C-plot System
This was an interesting problem. 2 computer, identical, with 2 different Dongles. Unit would come up repeatedly and say that the HASP Dongle was lost. The dongles were plugged into the rear of the computer in the motherboard specific USB Ports, and advised them to try plugging them into the front. The situation stopped and it appears the systems are working fine. Maybe an issue with supply of power to the rear USB sockets.
Something is Clashing with my Ikey
Ok, here we are not relating to the colour of the I-key clashing with your brand new PC. The ikey just doesnt show up with any details, even though it has been plugged in and the light is on. Bringing up the ikey token information utility just shows the token is busy. I Tracked this down on my own machine to an Intel wireless driver process. WLkeeper.exe. Removing the process, the ikey works fine. Restart the computer, the process comes back, and hey presto the ikey stops working. Maybe it is happening on your computer with another process. Well, start ending processes with Task manager and see when the ikey starts. Don't kill the processes IkeyTU.exe or IkeyuACR.exe or cmapsvc.exe. You may require these for the ikey and cmap processes.
I Have an LPT Dongle but my computer motherboard does not have an LPT Port
Well, it sounds like it is time to upgrade to a USB Dongle then. To be honest we have tried to use other methods of LPT port and they have failed miserably. It just doesn't work and if you think you are up for a challenge you can try it. I am 90% certain that you will also be in the list of failures. If you are trying to do this. You can call us at TMQ and we will give you the answer of 'just don't do it'.
The C-plot Occasionally Says Security Key was lost. (Maxpro Only)
The error is somewhere in the Maxpro RTE supplied by C-map Russia, They gave us a link to the Serial number via there software, occasionally this link is lost or broken somehow. C-plot occasionally reports that the ikey has been lost.
Download the New Maxpro Manager DLL, Maxpro manager Dll
Open the download, copy the dll file by clicking and right click copy.
go Start, Run, C:cplot95exe
In the window that opens right click and select paste.
And overwrite the existing C:cplot95exeCm93Mgr_maxpro.dll
If you wish to use this new dll and revert back to the old method.
