| How do I install the C-map charts for Maxpro |
| Go to the start menu, click on all programs, go to Jeppensen marine, then to Runtime, then Maxprop chart manager is there. The other method is via cplot, Main menu, chart, config, C-map. |

| The Jeppensen Chart manager Causes the computer to reboot |
| This is an issue with some components not being installed with the jeppensen maxpro chart manager. The C-plot install does try to install the Dotnet3.5 version framework which has the required files. However, this also depends on the windows installer that is installed in the machine prior to installation. Ie, the older windows installer will not install the file. Connect the computer to the internet and download all available updates. Navigate on the cplotCD/redist/dotnet and install the dotnetfx3.5.msi |

| The sometimes occurs on very early maxpro Systems. The cause is unknown, but in most cases the customer has tried to reinstall the collection over an existing collection once or maybe just kept on trying it. When you try to load them in C-plot, it just doesn't work. In the Chart manager, under the Install charts section, Right click on the collection and Remove the entire collection. Then reinstall off the original media once only. Then go to C-plot and try to load the C-map Maxpro Charts. |
| Jeppensen Chart manager installer comes up with an error about the Ikey not being present |
| We have had increasing reports of the Jeppensen marine software not being able to locate the Ikey components. This has escalated from 1 known machine to 2 machines now. On the first machine, the Ikey was plugged in and Windows Update located a driver for the ikey. Unfortunately this conflicted with the driver that C-Plot requires and would not let the install proceed. The other error was a problem with the Current user having no priveleges to install software so the Install skipped the Ikey install. When the ikey install was done seperately, it asked for Administrator password, and all was ok. Allow your users all access rights. |
| How do I install my new Maxpro Charts |
| Now, this is a tough question. If you have found the book marked C MAP MAX Pro Chart Manager, you could opt for reading this. The process is not a hard one, but may require some reading. Where do I find this program you may ask, How about Going, Start, All Programs, Jeppensen Marine, Max Pro RTE, Chart Manager. This is a simple process, Check whether you have codes in the ikey, the first page will tell you what codes are in the ikey. If not, go to License request, find your collection, then Add to purchase. Then click the button collections to purchase, Select the collection you want to purchase from the list and click the phone purchase button. Then contact C-map or TMQ with this code and get the license code to put in the box which says enter license code here. When you click apply code, it will think about it, and then return and say license applied successfully. Click on ok, and then it will ask do you wish to install charts, what a great idea, go and install the charts now, and you will be sorted. Have fun. |
| The size of the lettering on my Jeppensen Charts is too Big or too small |
| So, do you remember back when you installed the Jeppensen Chart manager and it asked you to measure that little Box. And now all the writing looks really large or really small. To modify this, to the Registry, (now if you don't know about the registry, you probably shouldn't be doing this) Go to HKey_local_machine/Software/C-map. Here you should find the DPM(1024*768) with your current resolution with a number beside it. Adjust this little number smaller to make the writing on the chart smaller, or bigger if you require some glasses or microscope to see the writing on the chart. |

| Maxpro comes up with an error when installing charts |
| This case is pointing to a computer with a max pro installation which has been installed over the top of an existing CM93/3 installation. (from either Cplot SF or CPlot Pro) The charts cannot be installed with messages such as Access Denied or similar. You need to uninstall only the Jeppensen marine Maxpro Chart manager. Then run the CM933Cleaner.exe and then reinstall the Maxpro SDK from the redist directory on the CDROM. |
| My Maxpro Charts aren't working, Can i just reinstall them again and again? |
| Reinstalling them may sound like a logical thing to do if you think that your Maxpro charts are not displaying. We have found that it does cause problems in the Maxpro system. If you wish to reinstall your collection, then you need to remove the existing collection first. If you do not do this, then you may experience issues with loosing charts.
