My Seafarer Pin Number is not Accepted on a new installation of TMQ C-plot Maxpro with Seafarer
You most likely have not enabled the TMQ Hasp dongle in the C-plot ini file. This is normally done when you accept the question do you with to use HCRF charts in your C-plot. But of course with any software there are exceptions
Edit the C:cplot95exeCplot95.ini and set:
C_TrakType=Mobile
Hint: To find this you could just do a search for C_Traktype or Alternatively search the list for the [system] subheading, it is under there. Make sure you use a Capital 'M' in Mobile!
Installing Seafarer Charts
First things first. You should have read the manual. What you need to Install Seafarer Charts. A valid Cplot install which can run HCRF Charts.
The disks for your Seafarer Chart Collection. Please ensure your customer has all the necessary disks and that they have not been floating around the chart table for the last 3 years.
  1. The Chart CD (this is the one that says Chart CD)
  2. The Update CD. (Again this one says Update CD)
  3. The disk containing permits, This may be a 3.5 inch floppy disk. or it may be a CDROM. Your dealer may have been nice and put the floppy disk onto a cd rom for you, so you will then have to look for a CDROM which says something like permits.
Your disk containing permits may be on a Floppy disk. In this new stone age, most computer are coming out with no floppy disk so ensure that you can somehow read this permit disk. If you can't work this out, please take the computer back to where you purchased it from.
In Cplot. you need to go to the Main Menu, then Chart, Then Config, then HCRF.
It may or may not come up with a window asking where you wish to store your database. Lets not confuse the situation and just suggest the local disk c:
Then it is welcome to the HCRF Config page. This page is divided into 4 sections. 1. Charts, 2. Permits, 3. Chart Type selection, 4. Permit Selection. They are pretty simple to see the sections. Please confirm you and your customer understand the sections. Failure to do so will result in Failure and a really long phone call.
Using HCRF with cplot max.
Use the Ctrak type to enable the Hasp dongle. If this is enabled, every customer with Max will get an error message about the dongle missing. Unless you have a hasp dongle plugged in. Edit the C:cplot95exeCplot95.ini and set:
C_TrakType=Mobile
Pastel Colours on C-plot screen when using HCRF Charts Purchased 2010
We have identified an issue with early versions of Cplot using the latest HCRF charts from Suppliers. The original Palette information has been increase from 16 colours up to 256 colours. This would cause some cplot colours to change to interesting pastel colour scheme. Only an update of Cplot to V1.2 or later will fix this issue.
