TMQ International Pty Ltd wish to announce the appointment of their new General Manager
– Mr John Rankin.
John has extensive experience in boat and shipbuilding and has previously worked with innovative companies such as INCAT Tasmania. Mr Rankin has Senior Management, Business, Sales and Coordination skills, combined with Electrical and Electronic knowledge.
TMQ have designed and manufactured marine electronics, steering systems, vessel tracking services and more for the Australian professional, commercial and recreational marine industries since 1974. Mr Rankin’s knowledge and expertise will supplement TMQ’s maritime capabilities, as they embark on new product and service offerings, distributed via their growing International Dealer Network.
Ken Brown who has been General Manager since 2013 will be staying with TMQ and operating as their Special Projects Coordinator. Ken’s role will be directly involved with System Optimisation and specialised Research and Development streams, which will in turn benefit customers with an enhanced logistical and service platform currently in development.
TMQ welcome Ken taking on this very important role, and congratulate John on this recent appointment. John will be based from TMQ’s Brisbane office, conveniently located at Rivergate Refit Complex, Murarrie.

TMQ Complete Successful ISO Compliance and GMDSS Lloyds Approval

TMQ International Pty Ltd are now ISO 9001:2015 QA compliant, having completed their Audit successfully on the 5th October 2017.

Fisheries Master Agent Approval for TMQ International Pty Ltd

Fremantle based Fisheries Western Australia focus on conservation and sustainable development of aquatic ecosystems, biosecurity, marine research, and licensing for commercial and recreational fishing activity. Monitoring a large fleet of vessels, the Department handle a number of managed Fisheries across the state.
In a recent agreement as of Friday March 24th 2017, TMQ has been appointed a certified Master Agent by Fisheries WA, and are authorised to supply and configure vessel monitoring terminals (VMS) to report positioning and movement of the Fisheries fleet.
TMQ specialise in the advanced bespoke configuration required for these systems, with over 129 separate zones requiring programming for identification.
TMQ has a long and respected history within the Australian fishing and aquaculture sectors, designing and manufacturing commercial grade marine electronics including their well-known range of autopilots, steering drives and intercom systems, and as a distributor and service agent for industry recognised brands such as Cobham SatCom and JRC.
